Fuseworks Glass Decals

Fuse Works have released fusible waterslide decals for your glass to be used in the microwave kilns.
BUT they can also be used in your electric kilns very successfully. I purchased a couple of packets of these glass decals to play with and see if they worked well in the electric kiln as I don’t have a microwave kiln. I wasn’t sure if they would would burn off.

Below is an image of the glass decals both fired on white bullseye sheet glass. The first cabochon has been fired between 2 layers of glass. A white base and a clear top. I wanteds to see how much distortion appeared when fired between 2 layyers of glass. I was suprised that there was no distortion in the image at all. There were a few minor air bubbles but that was due to me not drying the piece entirely before fireing. Note to self, make sure the decal and glass is dry before firing.

The second image has just been fired onto plain white bullseye glass with NO top. This image was a very pale image to start with and didn’t show up very well but it did not burn off in any way in the kiln.

The waterslide decals are very easy to use and make a very effective pattern on your glass.
